About Bob
DeFrancisco
Hello! I’ll never forget the first ride I took on my
friend’s minibike when I was 8. Racing up and down an
alley way near his house in Schenectady, timing each
other to see who was the fastest, I was hooked! Soon I
had my own. That was just the beginning of what has
been a life long passion for motorcycles and riding...

About
Peter Fort
I always wanted to ride a motorcycle but never had the
opportunity until my "midlife (give or take a few
years) crisis" which led me to the beginner's
motorcycle course at Hudson Valley Community College.
From not wanting to take my feet off the ground on a
Friday night to doing "figure 8's" by Sunday, my
addiction to biking was cast in concrete and my life
has never been the same...

More About Bob
DeFrancisco
...I went from minibikes to what were called
“minicycles”at the time. They had better suspension
and a 2-stroke motor more like a motorcycle rather
than a “lawnmower” Had the opportunity to race them
for a while on dirt tracks and on the ice. After
college I graduated to road bikes. My first was a nice
used Kawasaki GPZ 750, and then came a Honda
Interceptor, Suzuki Katana, GSXR 1000, and a Honda
Magna.
My current ride is a customized, 1986 Yamaha V-Max.
I’ve owned it for almost two years and have really
enjoyed making it into what it is today. Along the way
I’ve done many performance, handling and cosmetic
upgrades to the exhaust, brakes, wheels and tires,
etc. I’ve also added many one of a kind fabricated
items, custom paint, and chrome.
Each summer I make it a point to travel through the
Green and White mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire
to the coast. There is nothing like those long twisty,
mountain roads on a sun filled morning!
I’m looking forward to meeting new motorcycle
enthusiasts to swap stories and share new ideas. |

More About Peter Fort
...I rode a Honda Shadow 600 for
a few months and then graduated to a Honda 750 Ace
(bigger, faster and louder). I am finding that working
my way up the "food chain" of bikes is really fun.
My real job is a commercial real estate broker
with British American/Veronica Lynch Realty in Clifton
Park, NY. I teamed up with Bob (infinitely more
experienced in biking) and the rest is history.
Together we have purchased a custom built trailer for
two bikes and have reservations for Thunder in the
Valley and Biketoberfest, not to mention
Americade and Laconia.
Since getting my license and lots of
riding, many people have asked me how to get into
motorcycling, how to choose a bike, how long to
learn, and a myriad of other questions about riding.
Bob and I felt there was a need to provide a resource
for people who are bikers and for those who want to
get into the sport for facts, information, and topics
of interest on biking. After doing research we
concluded that there is no radio or other type of show
devoted to motorcycle riding in this or the
surrounding area, and thus the idea for the show was
born.
We hope you enjoy the show, and please send
us an email to suggest topics or ideas for the show. |
